I try to live up to impossible standards, so the love I bear is used to continuously placate others.

My close friends and family truly welcome my love.
Conclusion:
I’m lucky in that I have a partner, soon to be husband, who loves me despite my health problems, but I do need to learn to love myself more. I also need to stop trying so hard to keep everyone else happy and concentrate on my own happiness.
